Residue-Free Farming is the

Most Sustainable Way

Residue-free farming is a way of growing vegetables, fruits, flowers, field crops etc using a set of modern agriculture practices and latest technology based agri-inputs which ultimately do not lead to any harmful chemical residues in the produce. This is always a better option in terms of yields and ecological benefits and can be easily adopted by any farmer.

  • Over the past few years, there has been a paradigm shift in consumer preferences. Indian and International buyers are becoming increasingly health-conscious and watchful of the food they consume.
  • Since Residue-free farming practices do not involve any harmful chemicals throughout the production process, the fruits and vegetables, thus produced have best overall nutritional value and quality is also high. Residue-free techniques, are economical, and they do not hamper production quantity.

Traditional farming practices make use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides which are not only detrimental for consumers but also negatively impact the environment. For instance, they lead to soil degradation, pest & disease resistance, water pollution etc. Residue-free practices on the other hand requires minimal or no usage of chemicals. They do not hamper any other aspect of farming. As the name suggests, it leaves no harmful traces behind.

Studies have shown that residue-free is the best form of farming considering the need to feed the ever increasing population, protecting the soil, environment and the farming community.

Over recent years farming community and the government are becoming sensitive towards the harmful impact of the indiscriminate use of hazardous chemical inputs. The scenario can be changed with a more judicious approach which take the best from both the worlds of Organic and chemical farming. This can be achieved by conforming to the agricultural practices and using the products which do not leave any residue.

The vision of NanoBee has always been to provide such agriculture inputs i.e. pesticides, fungicides, nutrients and bio-fertilizers which are residue-free in true sense and also to guide the farmers regarding residue-free farming practices.

Reasons for adopting Residue-free farming

Soil Fertility

Everything starts with soil. Residue-free farming practices emphasis on use of Bio-Fertilizers a lot which help in maintaining the liveliness in the soil by supplementing it with various beneficial microbes. This helps to control various soil borne diseases like nematodes, wilting etc. and also supporting the microbiota of the soil.

Productivity

Since residue-free farming practices aim at judicious use of agri-inputs and also the use of scientific methodologies for growing any crop. E.g. use of pH and TDS meter is encouraged so that farmers can take on-field calculated decisions. This helps in using agri-inputs at the right time and in right quantity thus ensuring very high productivity.

Sustainability

Residue-free farming practices consisting of latest technology based agri-inputs and scientific methods are beneficial for the environment, crops, farmers and consumers in a very pertinent way. These make sure that the soil is healthy, farmers get continued and good quality production thus making it a very sustainable way of farming.

Quality

The quality of the produce is very good in terms of growth, nutrition and size. There are no residues of any harmful chemicals which makes them worthy of mass consumption and exports.

Price

As the quality and quantity of the agri produce is maintained at the highest possible levels, the farmers are sure of getting a good and competitive market price. This also helps to increase a farmer’s income.

Better Pest and Disease Management

Since the use of latest technology based residue-free pesticides, fungicides and bio-fertilizers and other nutrition based products become an integral part of the package of practices (Crop POPs), pest and diseases can be managed and controlled much better without harming the environment.
